BACOLOD CITY, Negros Occidental, Philippines – Forget about the supposed advisory about the coronavirus case in Bacolod from a local hospital.
As of today, one case of coronavirus was already confirmed in the Philippines, but that is in Manila, not Bacolod.
The Dr. Pablo O. Torre Memorial Hospital owned and operated by the Riverside Medical Center, Inc. disowned the false advisory circulating on social media about the case of 2019 nCov in Bacolod.
The hospital categorically stated that as of press time, there are no confirmed cases of the virus in the city, and that the earlier notice claiming otherwise is “not an official advisory from the hospital”.
The fake statement reads: ‘Please be adviced (sic) that as of 8:00 am this morning, January 29, 2020, the Novel Corona Virus has entered Bacolod City and is verified to be in level 2 health advisory with 69 confirmed cases in quarantine.’
