Man yields meth after going “high”

BACOLOD CITY – A man who scaled a power transmission tower yielded a sachet of suspected shabu after rescuers convinced him to postpone his death when he attempted to “jumped due to depression,” the police blotter said.

Police Station 7 reported the village chief and local rescuers coaxed Ives Pelowa, 33, to come down a transmission tower after he climbed to more than half of its estimated hundred-foot height in Paraiso sub-village, Mansilingan.

The report added Pelowa surrendered a sachet containing an estimated 4.5 grams of suspected meth after he was brought to the village hall
