BACOLOD CITY, Negros Occidental, Philippines – Negros Occidental reported 181 dengue cases, the highest in Western Visayas region, with three new deaths for the latest reporting period this month, the health department regional office said.
The Center for Health Development 6 also reported on its Facebook page that the latest figures for Morbidity Week 33 from 15 to 20 August 2022 showed a total of 3,893 cases in the province so far from 1 January to 20 August 2022.
The provinces of Iloilo and Antique had the second (2,079 total cases) and third (2,213 total cases) highest number of cases.
Dengue cases in the region increased by 600 percent with 10,899 cases for 2022 as compared to 1,557 cases last year.
