Mr. X kills Combative guard

BACOLOD CITY – A private guard fought it out with two armed robbers here a day before Christmas Eve but lost his life doing his job.

Police Capt. Elmer John Bonilla told DNX Adonis Tumpag Alicante Jr. of Combative Security Agency was able to wrest a. 45 caliber pistol from one of two possibly armed robbers who entered the compound of Argo Lending Compound inside Sharina Heights Subdivision here around 2am.

Alicante was sleeping with his wife inside the company bunkhouse when he was awakened by the noise made by the robbers entering the compound.

He grappled with one of the robbers but did not see the other one who shot him in the head.

Tumpag died on the spot.
