BACOLOD CITY, Negros Occidental, Philippines – Two assassins both garbed in black killed in broad daylight a suspected drug personality in Victorias City, about 37 kilometers north of here.
Police said Hilarion Solatorio Castro alias Tintoy, 53, was killed in front of his house in hacienda Sta. Cruz, Village 20 around 1pm yesterday, 9 November by two killers.
Both were dressed in “black long pants” and wearing black jackets and had helmets on, “armed with a caliber .45 pistol.”
The police unit that arrived in the area led by Master Sgt. Mario Cerbo reported that based on their probe at the area, the victim was talking to his friend (whose name is being withheld by DNX) when “suddenly two unidentified suspects arrived and without any provocation shot the victim.”
It was not clear if they were on a motorcycle that they later used to flee.
Castro was hit on his forehead and other parts of his body and was declared dead by doctors at a private medical center.
Police recovered three spent bullet shells and an unexploded one.
The blotter identified him as a “drug personality” or street level individual.
