Express Robbery: P1.1 million lost to armed robbers in late night strike of criminals

BACOLOD CITY, Negros Occidental, Philippines – Armed robbers carted away at least P1 million in cash from last-mile firm J&T Express Friday night, 17 March 2023.

The police probe showed the 11pm armed stickup at 11th street started when on-duty security guard, Recardo Timbad arrived around 10pm and the two bonnet-wearing robbers, both presumed to be male, entered the office.

One of them pointed a gun at Timbad, declared hold up and took his pistol.

The other entered the office of the nightshift cashier, Kate Karl Gestupa, and took the money reportedly part of its collections.

The robbers then fled.
