BACOLOD CITY, Negros Occidental, Philippine – A beauty product online seller was nabbed during a buy-bust operation led by the Bacolod City Drug Enforcement Unit (CDEU) early this morning 16 November, 2022 in Village 1 here.
More than P300,000 worth of alleged shabu weighing 51 grams were seized from Lyna “Love” Mabunay, 33 year-old, a High Valued Individual ( HVI) .
CDEU Chief Lieutenant Joven Mogato said the suspect might have started selling illegal drugs even before her husband got arrested last 2019 for the same crime.
Mogato said their monitoring showed illegal drugs trading here has slowed downrecently, one of the reasons they have seen is the increase in prices.
From the previous P14,000 to P18,000 for two grams, prices of shabu has now gone up to P25,000.
Mogato added that Mabunay was only making her online business a front to cover up for what she really was selling.
The suspect is detained in the custodial facility of Police Station 2 and will face violations of the country’s illegal drug laws
