UPDATED STORM SIGNAL WARNINGS IN NEGOCC: 10 cities, 12 towns now under signal No.2

BACOLOD CITY – The local weather bureau has placed 22 areas in Negros Occidental under Storm Signal No. 2, 10 of which are cities and 12 are towns.

The cities and towns under Signal No. 2 are:

Cities

  1. Talisay
  2. Silay
  3. Victorias
  4. Cadiz
  5. Sagay
  6. Escalante
  7. Bacolod
  8. San Carlos
  9. Bago
  10. La Carlota

Towns

  1. San Enrique
  2. Calatrava
  3. Enrique B. Magalona
  4. Manapla
  5. Toboso
  6. Murcia
  7. Salvador Benedicto
  8. Pulupandan
  9. Valladolid
  10. Pontevedra
  11. La Castellana
  12. Moises Padilla

The rest of the province is under Storm Signal No. 1.

The previous PAGASA bulletin, issued 2am, listed only six cities and four towns.

Six hours later, the disaster management department of Capitol reported the upgrade of storm signals as Typhoon Tisoy strengthens and is about to make landfall over Sorsogon and its eyewall is now bringing violent winds over Northern Samar, Catanduanes, Albay, Camarines Sur, and Sorsogon.

THE PAGASA also reported a heavy rainfall outlook between tonight and tomorrow morning:

Frequent to continuous heavy to intense rains over Bicol Region, Northern Samar, Southern Quezon, Marinduque, and Romblon.

Frequent to continuous heavy rains over Samar, Eastern Samar, Rizal, rest of Quezon, Laguna, and Oriental Mindoro. Moderate to intermittent heavy rains over Metro Manila, Occidental Mindoro, rest of CALABARZON, Cagayan, Isabela, Aurora, and the rest of Eastern Visayas.
