Earthquake felt in Bacolod, other storm-struck areas in Western Visayas

BACOLOD CITY – The state seismological bureau confirmed the occurrence of a quake that was felt here and other areas in Western Visayas that had just been hit by Typhoon Ursula.

PHIVOLCS said the earthquake was felt at 4.8 magnitude around 8:19 pm in Dumarao, Capiz province in Panay island.

It added the epicenter was located eight kilometers east of Dumarao.

Here, spoons in coffee cups clinked and Christmas decorations swayed as the earth shook for a few seconds.
