BACOLOD CITY, Negros Occidental, Philippines – Three suicides, all involving males, two in their 20s, have been reported here and in the northern town of Calatrava over one week, days before the first phase of the Enhanced Community Quarantine ends over the province.
All hanged themselves.
The latest is a man who was found hanging from a coconut tree near noontime in the village of San Isidro, Calatrava town.
The victim was a resident of Village 1 in San Carlos City, a report by dyAG correspondent Boy Morales on his Facebook account said.
He was reported to have been visiting relatives at the village where he hanged himself.
No other details are available.
Police are still probing the case.
Two similar incidents happened in Bacolod days ago, one on April 9, the other on April 12.
The April 12 incident was reported in Village 6, the victim. A 21-year-old man who left a suicide note asking forgiveness from his family.
On April 12, police reported another suicide in Taculing village.
The victim was a 27-year-old man who hanged himself inside a comfort room.
