BACOLOD CITY, Negros Occidental, Philippines – Anyone of lesser constitution would have crumbled easily under the circumstances.
Except that Charie May Ginete-Ilon, or simply Charie, is not.
Simply because she is Charie who is known to blaze trails.
Uprooted from her hometown, her husband and only child left here, and moving in to a new country, all against the backdrop of a pandemic, Charie could have easily given in to the pressures of starting a new life in a foreign land.
All over again.
From her early days as a TV broadcaster to Communication instructor (a tough one, students say), to becoming a financial advisor, personality development coach, and now a blossoming motivational speaker, Charie is not known to rest even when she appears to be at the top of her game.
We had her today on our Radyo X Podcast discussing mindsetting or how to reframe one’s thinking to cope with the current crisis.
She shares four simple ways:
Always be grateful
Always keep your mind active
Allow yourself to be sad
