BACOLOD CITY – The Bacolod City council approved P48 million appropriation ordinance for the additional bonus of 1,375 City Hall employees.
Bacolod City Mayor Evelio “Bing” Leonardia earlier said the qualified employees will receive as much as P40,000 yearend bonus.
The yearend bonus includes the Collective Negotiation Agreement (CNA) bonus worth P25,000, Productivity Enhancement Incentive (PEI) worth P5,000, and Service Recognition Incentive (SRI) worth P10,000.
The CNA and PEI will be released not later than 15 December, while the SRI will be released not earlier than Dec. 20.
The CNA bonus will be taken from the savings of the city under the maintenance and other operating expenses of the general fund.
City Budget Officer Ma. Imelda Williams said the qualified employees are those elected and appointed regular employees, regular plantilla casuals and retirees.
The job order employees, however, will not receive a yearend bonus, the mayor said.
“As much as we would love to, and as much as we believe they should be receiving, the rules will not allow us,” Leonardia said.
