BACOLOD CITY, Negros Occidental, Philippines – Police in the neighboring city of Silay north of here are now hunting for the contractor of migrant workers who hacked two of them and accidentally fired his gun.
Meanwhile, a man whose pricey gun went off as he was cleaning it is still being treated for a chest wound in Talisay City.
Joel Leomillo, 46, reportedly told police he was cleaning his STI Executive chambered in 45 caliber when it went off.
He said the gun was pointed at the floor when he accidentally pulled the trigger causung the slug to ricochet off the concrete, hitting the him on the chest.
In Silay, police are looking for Kabing Samsona who had reportedly pistol-whipped and hacked two brothers who earlier had a Samsina’s brother.
Camp Montelibano spokesman Judesses Catalogo told DNX Kabing’s brother, Victor, had an argument before the hacking incident with the victims, brothers Rodolfo and Jerry Nesito who he ordered in the middle of their drinking session to load cut sugarcanes onto a truck.
Victor left the two after the argument but Kabing arrived minutes later with a cane knife, known here as espading, then pistolwhipped them before hacking the two.
The police added Kabing’s gun also went off accidentally during the melee.
