PNP reports lower crime volume in February 2022

BACOLOD CITY, Negros Occidental, Philippines – The Bacolod City Police Office recorded a drop in crime incidents for the month of February 2022 with a total of 108 incidents compared to 127 incidents for the same period in 2021.

Average monthly crime rate has decreased by 11.48% or from 19.94 in February 2021 to 17.65 this February 2022.

BCPO records also showed a significant decrease in eight focus crimes from 26 to 17 which police believed to have lessened the average monthly crime rate in Bacolod.

However, for this year, some incidents are still under investigation and waiting to be filed in court.

Police Col. Thomas Joseph Martir, city police chief, commended his men for lower crime incidents.
