The NBA All-Star Game 2020 wrapped off with Kawhi Leonard from Team Lebron bagging the first Kobe Bryant MVP Award, held 16 February, at United Center, Chicago, Illinois.

Team Lebron also took over the thrilling match with 157 points over Team Giannis, 155.

The new MVP award was created to give tribute to the contributions of the late legend Kobe Bryant to NBA.

More tributes for the late legend and his daughter were given by basketball legend Magic Johnson in a speech before the start of the games and a song number given by Jennifer Hudson.

Number ‘9’ Jersey patches were also worn by each of the squads to represent the nine victims of the crash, Team Giannis wore number ’24’ for Bryant’s jersey and Team Lebron wore ‘2’ for Gianna.

Another tribute was given as the shot clock turned purple as it hit eight, the number of Bryant’s other jersey.

The world was shaken with the tragic death of Bryant, last 26 January, when his daughter, Gianna, and seven others died in a helicopter crash.

A new all-star scoring format was also showcased, wherein scores from each of the three quarters will reset, and winner of each quarter will win $100,000.

Team Lebron won a total of $400,000 while team Giannis won $100,000.
