BACOLOD CITY – A resident of Bata village here filed a complaint before the police against the cousin of Abang Lingkod partylist Rep. Stephen Paduano who, he claimed, confronted him on the whereabouts of the solon.
Jeric Fernandez, 23, told duty desk officer, Police Senior Staff Sgt. Joeny Alayon that Lito Paduano confronted him in the sub village of Marapara around 9 in the evening of November 15 “regarding of whereabouts of his cousin” but he replied that he does not know anything.
He also claimed that while he was being confronted “by said subject person showing his unknown firearm tucked in his waist.”
“That complainant felt nervous and discomfort after the said incidents,” the blotter added.
Bata village chief Lito Abaring, however, told a different version of the story.
He said Fernandez told him that Lito Paduano was asking him about his (Paduano’s) stolen motorcycle.
“He was only asked but not necessarily a suspect of Paduano,” he added, “and told me that he wanted to have the incident blottered in case something happens to him.”
Abaring said Fernandez has not filed any complaint before the village peace council.
