BACOLOD CITY, Negros Occidental, Philippines – Locally Stranded Individuals and Returning Overseas Filipinos will be allowed to enter the Negros Occidental, Bacolod, and Iloilo City as the Regional Inter-Agency Task Force has lifted the suspension on travel effective 22 August 2020.

An advisory from the Western Visayas Inter-Agency Task Force OIC regional director Juan Jovian Ingeniero and Regional Task Force chief Jose Roberto Nunez said the moratorium on ROFs and LSIs will be lifted on Saturday, 22 August.

It can be recalled that earlier, the return of LSIs and ROFs was suspended after Bacolod, and Negros Occidental experienced a spike in the CoViD-19 cases.

Reports from the Department of Health Region 6 indicate that most of the cases are LSIs and ROFs.

The RIATF, and the RTF, with the lifting of the suspension order, advised the returning LSIs and ROFs to use the S-Pass, or the online system developed by the regional Department of Science and Technology.

This is to ensure the timely coordination of and monitoring of the arrivals, the advisory added.
