We ask the public and the people Western Visayas to respect the rule of law.

We enjoin all the individuals and organizations to refrain from issuing malicious and baseless statements maligning the law enforcement agencies and the parties to these anti- terrorism financing cases.

While their zeal and fervor in expressing their fanatical support to the respondents may be highly appreciated by the respondents in their cases, their liability under other applicable laws is unavoidable.

These cases are a result of tedious case build-up and have garnered the support of the peace loving people of Negros Island.

This is a manifestation of our people’s collective resolve and aspiration to attain a just and lasting peace by ending the CPP-NPA-NDF and their lifeline by cutting all sources of funds to finance the communist terrorist group terror activities.

We enjoin the local government units, businesses, landowners, small and medium enterprises and local populace to refrain from, desist, resist, and avoid by any means necessary the giving of any financial and material support to the CPP-NPA-NDF, or any of their front organizations, lest the long arm of the law will subject those who violate the law with severe penalties as provided for under our anti- terror laws.

We ask that our local government units and their chief executives, including our local legislators, to be prudent and vigilant so that CTG affiliated organizations can not exploit our legal processes and can not have access to government funds and resources.

In closing, we thank the people of Negros Occidental for their unwavering support to our campaign to attain a just and lasting peace in Negros Island.

We reiterate our commitment to upholding the rule of law and our belief in the principle that no one is above the law.

We ask that the preliminary investigation proceedings in these cases be given the full respect that it deserves.
