BACOLOD CITY, Negros Occidental, Philippines – A ranking police official here said the armed heist by robbers of a bank in Hinobaan town was pulled off “flawlessly,” indicating as to who could have been possibly involved in the crime.
Provincial police information officer, Lt. Abegail Donasco, also said the robbery could be linked to the coming 2022 polls.
She did not elaborate.
Brigadier General Innocencio Pasaporte, on the other hand, said they will also coordinate with the National Police to look into the possible involvement of the Communist New People’s Army in the robbery.
“They are desperate, low in funds and have suffered a series of defeats in the battlefield,” Pasaporte told DNX.
Robbers took at least P1.3 million in cash from the robbery last week from the Rural Bank of Ilog branch in the town, around 200 kilometers south of here.
