BACOLOD CITY – Local police is looking into four angles on the death of Village 2 councilman Romeo Canlas who was gunned down Saturday night in Village 26 here.

Local police spokesman Ariel Pico said the initial angles include illegal drugs, personal grudges, and politics.

Canlas, who was having a drinking session with friends when armed men opened fire on him with still unknown weapons.

He died upon arrival at a government-run hospital.

Police said he had eight gunshot wounds.
