BACOLOD CITY – Local police chief, Lt. Col. Henry Biñas said the Cuadra drug group is no longer as active compared to its former status as a drug distribution network here.

“It is still operating but its network has been drastically reduced, not as significant as before,” Biñas told DNX on the day Station 3 operatives arrested Carmencita Cuadra with suspected shabu worth P100,000 in a buy-bust operation.

Station 3 chief, Police Maj. Ruel Culanag had earlier identified Cuadra as the sister of convicted drug boss Jose Kim “Boy” Cuadra. A court in Kalibo City sentenced him to life imprisonment on Jul 25, 2006 for drug trafficking.
