“We are free for now,” Vice-Mayor El Cid Familiaran told DNX as the local inter-agency task force that he heads reported no persons under investigation (PUIs) or monitoring (PUMs) confined in hospitals here.

Last week, two days before Valentine’s, all PUIs were released from the government-run Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital after testing negative for virus infection.

Familiaran, however, appealed to the public to observe basic precautionary measures like handwashing to prevent the spread of the virus.
