BACOLOD CITY, Philippines – As of 20 February, the World Health Organization reported a total of 75,748 COVID-19 cases worlwide.
There are 74,675 cases in China with 2,121 deaths.
A total of 1,073 cases were reported outside China with eight deaths, five new.
Iran was also added to the list of countries with cases of COVID-19, raising the number of countries affected by the virus to 26.
Death from other countries include; Philippines (1), Korea (1), Japan (1), France (1), Iran (2), and two deaths from the Diamond Princess cruise ship.
A total of 18,404 have recovered worldwide.
In the country, there are a total of 509 cases reported, according to the health department, with no new cases of death, and 456 tested negative of the virus.
Fifty persons under investigation are currently waiting for their results.
In 18 February, the Provincial Government of Negros Oriental confirmed that the couple admitted in the province, both from Wuhan, China, the epicenter of the outbreak, tested negative for the virus.
Meanwhile, two PUIs were reported to be in Western Visayas.
Bacolod, currently, remain to be COVID-19 free, according to the local task force.
