BACOLOD CITY – A P5 million worth covered court was turned over to the school officials of Vista Alegre – Granada Relocation Elementary School, Tuesday morning.
The covered court will be used for the activities of more than 2000 elementary pupils to be shared with almost 1000 high school students of Progreso Village National High School.
Mayor Evelio “Bing” Leonardia promised the students and the school officials that he would further develop the relocation site, where the school is located in Barangay Vista Alegre.
“As a matter of priority, we would like to see this relocation site to be developed. It is my dream to develop this like a township,” the mayor said.
The city allocated P350 million for the development of Progreso Village relocation site, one of the four flagship projects of the city government.
School Principal Riggi Lachica expressed his gratitude to the city officials for putting up the covered court, which he considered as a ‘dream come true’.
