BACOLOD CITY, Philippines – Two persons remain under investigation in a government-run hospital here after showing symptoms of nCoronavirus infection, a spokesman of the local nCov task force told DNX.
Today, health authorities here are awaiting the results of the confirmatory tests on a 12-year-old kid who was also brought to the Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital after showing signs of infection.
He and the Canadian have both travelled to Hongkong, a special administrative region of China.
The 12-year-old and a 59-year-old woman are the two remaining persons under investigation or PUIs confined in the hospital.
Tan pointed out the Canadian patient will be made to undergo home quarantine, according to protocols established by the health department.
According to the Department of Health, as of 4 February, there are two confirmed cases of the virus infection in the country, 105 persons under investigation with 90 currently admitted, 12 discharged, and one death.
