Boy among two wounded in KTV bar shooting

BACOLOD CITY, Negros Occidental, Philippines – A boy and a man were hurt in a fracas that led to a shooting early in the morning today, 14 December 2022, inside a KTV bar in the town of Murcia.

Police said those hurt were Erwin Bacong, 22, and a boy, his neighbor in the hacienda (plantation) of Georgina in Iglau-an village, in the town 26 kilometers east of here.

Town police chief, Captain Mark Joel Reclamado reported the victims had a heated argument with a group of bar patrons seated on a separate table around 1am today.

One of those in that group drew a gun and shot the boy victim and mauled Erwin.

Both victims were brought to the town clinic before they were transferred to a hospital here.
