BACOLOD CITY – Police here busted a local drug dealer in a coastal barangay, seizing P332,000 worth of drugs.
The police, led by city police chief, Col. Henry Biñas, nabbed suspected drug peddler John Mark Gabaleo, 32 years old today 11 February at 6 p.m.
Police identified Gabaleo as a high-value target.
The bust happened in the sub-village of Kapawa in Punta Taytay, one of the coastal villages in the city.
DNX, in an earlier report, revealed that four of five villages in the top tier of drug seizures are located along the coastline.
Local police spokesman Lt. Col. Ariel Pico earlier told DNX that the sea is a boon for the transport of illegal drugs in the city.
Other items seized from Gabaleo include 16 plastic sachets of suspected shabu and other drug paraphernalias.
