BACOLOD CITY – The lone district solon here lauded relieved anti-drug czar Jovie Espenido for his performance in the anti-drug campaign during his short stint here.
Cong. Greg G. Gasataya, however, also appealed to policemen to continue pressing on against illegal drugs that he described as “the most serious problem our country is facing now.”
Gasataya said Espenido had accomplished a lot while he headed the Bacolod Police Office’s Drug Enforcement Unit, including conducting information campaigns at the village level.
Espenido was handpicked by President Duterte to lead the anti-drug campaign October last year but was relieved last week and was reportedly assigned to the office of the Chief PNP.
