MURCIA, Negros Occidental — An estimated 1,000 participants gathered in the Municipality of Murcia gym to join the first-ever “Ban Fiesta”, last 24 December.

Ban Fiesta is a Christmas celebration of “BANDFI” or Barangay Assistance Network Development Foundation, Inc.
It was celebrated together with other member communities of BANDFI all around the Philippines, and were connected through a Facebook live telecast.
BANDFI is an organization that aims to provide assistance to the needs of member barangays in Philippines, where private organizations and communities work together to identify what is needed in a certain barangay.
Solutions are then presented to the barangay and implemented by volunteers, mostly BANDFI workers and partners.
The organization seeks to provide assistance to shelter, health and nutrition, livelihoods, education, among others in their partner communities.
Currently, BANDFI is present in 18 regions, 233 districts, and 45,000 barangays with 27 million members in the Philippines.
