BACOLOD CITY – Has the series of police arrests that led to the seizure of at least P10 million worth of shabu here linked to the death of a man who was shot early this morning?

“He is from Pulupandan town but why was he here often?” Police Lt. Col. Ariel Pico asked about alias Rigor who was shot and killed inside the reclaimed property of the Bacolod Real Estate Development Corporation around 2 am of 23 December.

Pico, who was once assigned to the Pulupandan Police Office, told DNX he remembers Rigor as someone doing menial jobs at the municipal hall.

It could be possible, Pico theorized that the hit on alias Rigor could be a retaliation of drug traders who suspected that Rigor could have tipped off authorities about the operations of two high-value targets from whom police recovered suspected shabu with a combined worth of at least P10 million.

The latest bust was on Saturday in Bangga Subay, Banago village during which policemen nabbed Sunny Delara Capa, 22; and Ely Lorence Demadara Sazo. Both live in the sub-village of Mahimulaton in Banago.

The police identified Capa as a high value target and a tokhang surrenderee.
