Women rule shootfest at NIR Shooting range

BACOLOD CITY, Negros Occidental, Philippines – Women ruled the recent shootfest held at the city’s premier NIR Shooting Range with 11-year-old Cirilo Miguel Coruña becoming the youngest champion in a two-day event that saw scores of the best practical shooters gather at one of the oldest shooting ranges at the Sta. Fe Resort.

Shooters who took part in the 2nd Provincial Association of Court Employees Invitational Shootfest supported by Lone District Cong. Greg Gasataya competed in five divisions, among these two relatively new ones – the mini rifle category with male and female divisions.

The other usual categories are civilian standard, lady production and civilian production.

Among the winners are Charlize Subardiaga (mini rifle champion female category), Cirilo Miguel Coruña (mini rifle champion male category), Leigh Andee Rodriguez (mini rifle 1st runner up female category) and Philip Neivel Subardiaga (mini rifle 1st runner up male category)

Jimmy Uberas (Civilian Standard Champion), Charlotte May Juplo (Lady Production Champion) and Miguel Alisaje (Civilian Production Champion).

The NIR is also home to Downrange Daddy, the first shooting class offering personal defense and shooting classes to kids and young adults.
