Ursula intensifies; more Neg Occ cities and towns under Signal Number 2

BACOLOD CITY, Philippines – Typhoon Ursula gains strength, moving west of northwest at 25 kph with maximum sustained winds of 130 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 200 kph.

Meanwhile, PAGASA’s latest severe weather bulletin has placed more cities and towns under storm signal number 2. These are Talisay, Silay City, E. B. Magalona, Victorias City, Manapla, Cadiz City, Sagay City, Escalante City, Toboso, and Calatrava.

The rest of Negros Occidental are under storm signal number 1.

Residents in these areas are advised to take appropriate measures to reduce the potential impact of flooding and rain-induced landslides, especially in areas identified to be highly to very highly susceptible to these hazards.
