Two daylight murders in Bacolod on the first week of Love Month

BACOLOD CITY, Negros Occidental, Philippines – The 3rd of February claimed two lives as two persons were killed in two separate daylight shooting incidents only two hours away from each other.

The first, around 7am, reportedly occurred inside Oroland Subdivision along the circumferential road here in Tangub village.

Probers of Police Station 8 identified the victim as Angelica Mequin Montalvo, 23., who was shot by the unknown killer who got inside the car she and her live-in partner were riding in.

Doctors at a private hospital declared Montalvo, a Banago village resident, declared her dead upon arriving at the facility.

The killer, a man, boarded the vehicle after declaring a holdup in front of the Medical Plaza building along BS Aquino Drive.

The man, armed with a .38 revolver which he reportedly pointed at the head of the victim, and instructed the driver where to go.

Two hours later, in the urban village of 32, two masked killers riding a red mini van shot and killed a 62-year-old man standing outside a convenience store along a busy street.

Police Station 1 identified the victim in an initial report as Gerome Aquino Sientos, 62.

Sientos was identified as a resident of Everlasting sub-village in the same barangay who was hit several times in the body.
