Riverside College hosts virtual career fair

Riverside College, Inc. will be hosting a virtual career fair on November 26 from 10:00am – 5:00pm via Microsoft Teams. The virtual career fair is led by the Riverside College Guidance Center in an effort to connect businesses and organizations with Riverside College students and alumni who are seeking employment opportunities.

Eight companies coming from the Metro Pacific Hospital Holdings, Inc. (MPHHI), the parent company of the college, are set to join the event.

This includes Riverside Medical Center, Inc., Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Sacred Heart Hospital of Malolos, Marikina Valley Medical Center, Manuel J. Santos Hospital, Riverside College, Inc., and West Metro Medical Center. Almana Group of Companies, ARB Call Facilities, Inc., Global Strategic Recruitment, and Panasiatic Solutions.

“This event will serve as a venue for our partner companies to find the right talents to fill in their current and upcoming job positions. We will also ensure that our Alumni will be hired to a company and position that matches his or her life goals. The virtual career fair will include career talks to prepare our students on how to land a job right after graduation especially in a competitive job market.”, said Guidance Associate, Jovilyn Joy Guanga.

A virtual career talk was held last November 21 with a total of 671 attendees. It covered Resume, Cover Letter Writing, and Acing a Job Interview through Guest Speaker, Vincent Dan Mijares, Sourcing Specialist of ARB Call Facilities, Inc.

Riverside College Guidance Center aims that all students and Alumni who will be joining the Virtual Career Fair will be able to interact with company representatives for them to know that despite a challenging job market there are still opportunities for every Riverside collegian.

Guanga added that she is confident that the pioneer Virtual Career Fair will be a success. “We are really grateful that we are a part of the MPHHI, the largest chain hospital of the country. Through this, we can connect our students and alumni with industry leaders. Technology also plays a great role towards the success of this event. Thus, with the assistance of our IT Department, we are making sure for a seamless execution of the Virtual Career Fair.”
