OIC Budget Officer tests positive for CoViD

BACOLOD CITY, Negros Occidental, Philippines – The officer-in-charge of the Provincial Budget Office tested positive for coronavirus disease (Covid-19), said Provincial Administrator Lawyer Rayfrando Diaz on Monday 16 November.

The officer voluntarily submitted to a swab test after having fever on Wednesday.

Diaz said the result came out on Saturday after the o-i-c underwent RT-PCR test on Friday.

The Provincial Administrator said they immediately conducted swab testing and contact tracing to all persons the officer had encountered including several department heads present during the budget deliberations last week.

As of writing, some of the co-employees of the officer tested negative of Covid-19, while the results of others have not yet released.

The budget officer is currently under quarantine at Mambukal Resort in the municipality of Murcia
