BACOLOD CITY, Negros Occidental, Philippines – The chair of the local inter-agency task force here has confirmed that the brother of the province’s Patient 2 and the brother’s woman partner both tested negative for the COVID19 virus.
As this developed, City Hall will lift the ultra-risk declaration over the sub-village of Bulak in Mandalagan village, a highly-populated area in the rural barangay, IATF chair and Vice-Mayor El Cid Familiaran also told DNX.
The brother and his partner live in Bulak that had been declared ultra-risk by authorities here since 20 April after Capitol confirmed the case of Patient 2, a 43-year-old male from Nato village, La Castellana town.
The brother and his partner are believed to have close contact with Patient 2.
Authorities believe it was the brother of Patient 2 who fetched him from the private BREDCO port where he arrived on a roro vessel from Iloilo City.
The results of the RT-PCR from the government laboratory in Iloilo City arrived last night, Familiaran said.
He does not know, however, if the other relatives of Patient 2 whom he visited at East Homes 3 in Estefania village here are also positive.
