BACOLOD CITY, Negros Occidental, Philippines – Mayor Evelio Leonardia has instructed his economic team to meet with business leaders here to discuss measures that would perk up the local economy amid the continuing pandemic.
Vice-Mayor El Cid Familiaran told DNX a meeting is expected to take place this week between members of City Hall’s economic team led by businessman George Zulueta and MBCCI officials.
Lawyer Jesus Hinlo, an official of the Land Bank has also said he is willing to sit down with business leaders and explore ways on how government can help them, Familiaran added.
The Metro Bacolod Chamber of Commerce and Industry had earlier proposed measures to local government officials to perk up the economy.
