BACOLOD CITY – Councilor Lady Gles Gonzales-Pallen said village officials here are doing their best to implement the government’s anti-illegal drugs campaign.
Pallen, who heads the league of barangay heads, said they have the drive and the initiative in putting an end to the problem of illegal drugs, but they have no full control over all their constituents.
She reminded them to protect the integrity of their respective offices so as to maintain the trust of the people.
“As an individual, we know what is right or what is wrong; we should know our limitations,” Pallen said.
Meanwhile, Pallen said she is still waiting for the notice or the order regarding village officials allegedly involved in illegal drugs.
“So far, I do not know these officials. We will wait for the official notice or guidelines regarding that,” she added.
