Bacolod City, March 22, 2024 – In a significant stride towards enhancing and improving its healthcare services, the Riverside Medical Center, Inc. (RMCI) proudly announces the grand opening of its new and vastly improved Emergency Room. This state-of-the-art facility promises to revolutionize emergency medical care delivery in the province.

Featuring cutting-edge equipment, advanced technology, and a team of highly skilled medical professionals, the revamped Emergency Room is poised to provide swift and comprehensive care to patients in critical situations. From trauma care to urgent medical interventions, the facility is equipped to swiftly handle a wide array of emergencies with efficiency and expertise.

The key highlights of the upgraded Emergency Room include:

From our previous 17-bed capacity, we now have a 37-bed total capacity;

There are 4 separate emergency entrances for patients:

1. Walk-in entrance;
2. Ambulance entrance;
3. Extreme emergency (resuscitation) entrance; and,
4. Decontamination entrance for patients with chemical exposure.

Our treatment areas have been expanded to accommodate a higher volume of patients:

1. Bigger urgent care beds for both pedia and adult patients;
2. Improved OR, Trauma, and OB minor units;
3. Has four (4) separate rooms with negative pressure; and,
4. An Isolation Unit for infectious case patients.

Advanced diagnostic capabilities for rapid and accurate assessments are now available:

1. A Central Cardiac Monitoring System;
2. A dedicated resuscitation unit, a cardio & neuro unit and a decontamination unit; and,
3. A Medical Central Gas and Vacuum System.

We have enhanced patient comfort and privacy features in the area:

1. Improved Triage Area;
2. A dedicated non-urgent care area;
3. A dedicated OPD isolation consultation room;
4. In-house central registration, admission and cashier; and,
5. Dedicated laboratory and pharmacy personnel.

Seamless integration with other departments for streamlined care coordination; and,

Provision for comprehensive training programs for our staff to stay abreast of the latest medical advancements, particularly involving Emergency Medicine.
