23 July 2024 – KABANKALAN CITY, NEGROS OCCIDENTAL. The Provincial Association of Civil Registrars in Negros Occidental, Inc. concluded its Provincial Civil Registration Conference on 23 July 2024. Held for the first time ever in Kabankalan City, the conference was presided by Undersecretary (Usec) Claire Dennis S. Mapa, National Statistician and Civil Registrar General of the Philippine Statistics Authority, together with Assistant National Statistician (ANS) Engr. Marizza B. Grande and Chief Statistical Specialist (CSS) John F. Campomanes.
During the meeting, operation protocols were recalibrated to ensure the consistency in the delivery of civil registration services across the cities and municipalities within the province following the recent 3rd Regional Midyear Convention on Civil Registration of Local Civil Registrars and Staff of Western Visayas. The Local Civil Registrars raised their clarifications and concerns regarding the latest updates on the civil registration processes which were all addressed by Usec. Mapa, ANS Grande and CSS Campomanes.
The conference ended with Usec. Mapa extending his gratitude to all the Local Civil Registrars who were present during the event. He also requested for the full cooperation of the Local Civil Registrars in a joint effort with the Philippine Statistics Authority in combating fraudulent transactions and fortifying the integrity of civil registration documents.
