BACOLOD CITY, Negros Occidental, Philippines – Health authorities here are moving the city’s newest COVID-positive case, Patient 18, to an isolation facility after he tested positive yesterday in a RT-PCR test released by the provincial testing facility.
Government physician Grace Tan, spokesperson of the local inter-agency task force, told DNX Patient 18 is male, 32, and resident of Bata village here.
He had shown flu symptoms since last week and also had a cough and sore throat, some of the signs of the disease. (READ: The CoviD19 Saga: Symptomatology and Virology)
Tan added the patient is a driver but gave no additional details if he is a public utility or private one.
She said contact tracing has also started.
