CAMP MAJOR NELSON GERONA, Murcia, Negros Occidental – This was the first standing order of the day that 3rd Infantry Division Commanding Officer Major Gen Marion Sison to the incoming 303rd Infantry Brigade commanding officer Brig Gen Ted Dumosmog during the Change of Command and Retirement Ceremony in Minoyan, Murcia here.
“Find, fix, and finish the remnants of the Communist Terrorist Groups here in Negros Island,” Sison said as he exhorted Dumosmog to continue what outgoing 303rd IB BGen Orlando Edralin has started.
Sison noted that under Edralin’s command, the 303rd IB became the fightingest brigade in the whole country, with 10 major engagements last year.
The CTG infrastructure has now been 95 percent dismantled, and it is now imperative to destroy the remaining five percent.
“Let us not relax,” Sison said, adding, “let us not give them the chance to resurge, let us not give then a chance to rise up… let us finish them.”
The military, he said, is confronting a thinking enemy so it is important to keep up the momentum and continue what Edralin has done, which was “to dismantle the two remaining guerrilla fronts as well as demolish the vertical forces”.
