BACOLOD CITY, Negros Occidental, Philippines – Rescuers literally snatched a man from death when he tried to jump off the fifth floor of a building where he works.
Some local radio stations described the man as “heartbroken” after running into problems with his lovelife. It could not be independently verified as this report goes to press.
Police brought the person home after he was rescued by firemen who went to the Concentrix Building in Mandalagan village around 6 am today, 9 June 2022 and saw him on the edge of the floor.
The BFP said in a post the Alpha Team of Negros Occidental BFP led by Senior Fire Officer 1 Arnel Chavez negotiated with the man for an hour after which the team leader grabbed him.
A video of the rescue showed the other firefighters gathering around the call center agent who, the BFP said, was later debriefed.
