A 62-year-old farmer from Isidro village, Toboso town was shot by three unidentified suspects after inviting them to eat breakfast with him inside their house.
The victim Bienvinido Montejar, was shot twice in his head, instantly killing him.
Initial investigation showed that while the victim along with the three suspects were having coffee and breakfast they had a conversation that later turned into a heated argument.
After a few minutes, the three suspects requested the victim to go outside his house.
Upon stepping down, he was shot by one of the suspects.
Police Lt. Reneboy Eduardo of Toboso PNP said the investigation is still on-going as of this time as they are also looking for any possible motive of the killing.
Eduardo added that they are yet to confirm if the victim was really a rebel returnee as what others have claimed.
The three suspects fled towards the mountainous part of the village after the crime.
One piece of fired cartridge of .45 caliber and a 5.56 mm were recovered in the crime scene.
