Bacolod Mayor Evelio Leonardia and Vice Mayor El Cid Familiaran led the DSSD distribution of 1,000 food packs to members of an urban poor group and drivers’ association at two distribution rites today 8 July 2021, a press release from the Bacolod City Hall said.
The City’s Department of Social Services and Development (DSSD) distributed 750 food packs to members of urban poor group Kadamay (Kalipunan ng Damayang Mahihirap) and 250 members of Bacolod Fisherfolks Federation (BFF).
The beneficiaries were residents of Barangays 7, 16, Alijis, Bata, Banago, Mandalagan, Pahanocoy, Punta Taytay, Sum-ag, Taculing, and Tangub.
The distribution rites were held in Brgy. Banago and Brgy. Taculing, each catering to members of the two sectors.
The food packs came from DSWD-Region 6 and were facilitated by the City Mayor’s Office and the DSSD.
