Bacolod City Mayor Evelio “Bing” Leonardia earlier endorsed to the city council the request of Frank Carbon, chief executive officer of the Metro Bacolod Chamber of Commerce & Industry for the extension of the filing of business permits.

Leonardia said it is reasonable to extend the BOSS to give business owners enough time to process their permits and to accommodate the growing number of businesses in the city.

Permits and Licensing Division Head Stela Rose Rayos said their intensified operation last year may be one of the factors of the increase.
