With the flame, virtus et scientia or knowledge and virtue, CSA-Bacolod’s teacher education program maintain its status to be above the rating of National passing every Licensure Examination for Teachers (LET) and Board of Licensure Examination for Professional Teachers (BLEPT).
With the unwavering support of the stakeholders, CSA-Bacolod never fails to cater to and highlight the students’ holistic formation. As a result, over the years, the top-tier teacher education program, now under the Deanship of Dr. Jan-dolly Grace L. Deita and the program headship of Dr. Lanie C. Campillanos, has produced teachers imbued with Augustinian values, knowledge, and skills. The produced educators have paved the way for significant improvement in their students’ lives and the communities they serve.
At its best, the College of Arts, Sciences, and Education or CASE’s teacher education program mirrors the classroom and the future workplace with mentors who possess relevant competencies and Augustinian values required to train and prepare future educators to perform their roles in this fast changing and technologically-driven society. This approach to designing and implementing the teacher education curriculum at CSA-Bacolod has yielded fruit and success over the years.
Recently, the Education program has once again achieved a 100% passing rate in the January 2022 Board of Licensure Examination for Professional Teachers (BLEPT). This nearly annual achievement by the teacher education program has become a consistent pattern that defines the Augustinian culture of excellence.
The program, which is rooted on the three core values, Unitas, Caritas, and Veritas, will continue to contribute to the school’s vision-mission of producing lifelong learners with high ethical standards and global competence for the service of God’s people and community.
