BACOLOD CITY, Negros Occidental, Philippines – Probers of Police Station 4 here and the Himamaylan police are looking into the discovery of a man’s body Sunday in the village of Aguisan, Himamaylan City.
The body was identified as that of Levy Ortega, 46, and a resident of Estefania Village,Bacolod City.
Early January this year, the Aki Cuadra gang was abducted in Estefania village. Killed was alleged leader Arnold Cuadra along with his three other compannions whose bodies were found in different areas of the province
Police station four chief, Police Major Richee Gohee said that around 10:00 in the evening of 23 April, 2022, Ortega was abducted inside his house in Villamar sub village, Estefania by unidentified suspects who forced him to get inside a car, with the abductors asking for the location of a certain “item”.
Ortega’s son from his first wife coordinated with the authorities after seeing the post on social media. He later confirmed the identity of his father.
Two other children aged 14 and 16 meanwhile were at the scene when their father got abducted.
Gohee said the victim work as a mechanic and was left by his two previous partners because of physical abuse.
Ortega was found lying beside the road in Aguisan Village last saturday with his head covered and taped, with gunshot wounds and a placard beside him saying “ Kap Macoy, nasa iyo pala si Bebot Murillo at si Boy Tapang, see you next time. By: JJ”
The Himamaylan police is also currently investigating the peole mentioned in the card to confirm their connections in Ortega’s death.
