Artists are usually the first to come together when the world experiences a crisis, when there’s an important message to deliver, when others need help.

We're doing Part 1 this Wednesday (June 10) 1pm. Featuring Mighty Hillamoon and special guests, Francis Brew Reyes, Manuel Legarda, and Kokoi Baldo. Tune in!

For those who would like to donate, you can do so already through the following channels:

But what if the artists themselves need help?

The current pandemic has rendered virtually everyone who is anyone in the arts and entertainment industry without projects, with most of them deprived of a platform to perform their art.

Enter Buhat Paglaum, a project by artists for artists, a fund-raising project spearheaded by Headrush’s Ryan Saez, and entrepreneur Jae Espino, and directed by Juno Oebanda. The funds will primarily go to the artists, and part of these will go to Viva ExCon, the Visayas Visual Arts Exhibition and Conference, a Visayan-wide exhibit for visual artists organized by Manny Montelibano.

The project aims not just to raise funds for artists but also presents a novel platform – digital via live streaming – to keep the industry alive.

Part One of Buhat Paglaum will stream tomorrow, 1 p.m. at their Facebook Page.  The first part features Mighty Hillamoon, Francis Reyes (The Dawn), Manuel Legarda (Wolfgang), and Kokoi Baldo, and features For Red Lights.
