BACOLOD CITY, Negros Occidental, Philippines — Elite athlete Janiree Rubrico-Dacles, fresh from her bicycling adventure in Union Cycliste Internationale Gravel World Championships in Veneto, Italy last October, has added another feather on her cap as she wins the Ironman 70.3 in Puerto Princesa last 13 November 2022 along with sister April Jan Rubrico-Uberas, and Patty De Leon.
The Rubrico sisters and De Leon, representing Team Les Femmes Féroces (Fierce Mothers) won the long distance triathlon race with a 1.9km swim, 90km bike and 21km run.
Janiree did the 90km bike, April Jan 21km run and Patty De Leon from Manila did the 1.9km swim.
The Bacolodnon sisters raced against 16 teams including the AFP Philippine National Team among others.
April Jan is a fulltime English school teacher of Bacolod City National High School, a mother of two children and takes time to train despite her hectic schedule. She is a multisport athlete- runner and biker.
Janiree is a businesswoman, mother of two and multisport athlete.
